The Subtle Art of Folding Space

The Subtle Art of Folding Space

I was disappointed by The Subtle Art of Folding Space. I loved the cover. However, the plot of this book seems like a mishmash of better science fiction books and movies.

The Matrix comes to mind constantly when reading this book. That plot had well-designed world building with an underlying structure based on real scientific principles. Unfortunately, The Subtle Art of Folding Space does not. I’m no scientist but a lot of the science here stretches credulity to the breaking point. Jumping in and out of different universes sounds like so much fun. However, in this book it was just tedious. I couldn’t wait to finish this stinker that I only read so you don’t have to. Avoid The Subtle Art of Folding Space. 2 disappointed stars…

Thanks to NetGalley and Tor Books for providing me with an advanced review copy.
