99 Ways to Die

99 Ways to Die

There are 99 Ways to Die but a witch ain’t one. Sorry, my early aughts roots are showing, with apologies to Jay-Z.

Actually, this book is a list of, wait for it, 99 Ways to Die, and how to prevent most of them. While there are some humorous bits in here, the bulk of the descriptions are pretty dry. I dare you to read the book straight through in one sitting without falling asleep. However, as a reference for non-doctors, this book is a nice resource. Writers especially can dream up some cool death scenes with this book. It would be a vicious gift for your hypochondriac aunt. Or use it to begin some extremely interesting, and perhaps slightly disturbing, transit ride conversations. 4 stars!

Thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for providing me with an advanced review copy.
