If you are in the mood for a sweetly romantic Christmas story but Lifetime hasn’t started their holiday movie month yet, pick up The Santa Suit. You won’t be sorry.
Ivy has just gone through a painful divorce. Her answer is to buy an old farmhouse in rural North Carolina sight unseen. Luckily, her real estate agent is handy. He also knows many local craft people that can help Ivy repair the house’s faults. When Ivy finds a well-preserved Santa suit in the closet, she also finds a letter to Santa. Carlette, a young girl, just wants her father to return from Vietnam. Ivy is intrigued. She decides to try and find Carlette.
The Santa Suit has all the pros and cons of most Lifetime holiday movies. All the characters are nice. There are no villains here. However, that does make the plot very predictable. Literally nothing in this book will surprise you. But it is a comforting holiday read that is sure to get you thinking of Christmas. 4 stars!
