The King’s Ransom is another fun and fast paced Recovery Agent novel from the bestselling author of the Stephanie Plum series.
Gabriela recovers lost items for a living—not as a charity. But when her still sexy ex-husband Rafer needs help, she has to pitch in. Rafer’s cousin, Harley has obligated his bank to cover the costs of four stolen art pieces. The pieces include an ancient Egyptian’s gold coffin and the Rosetta Stone. If they aren’t recovered quickly, the payout will bankrupt the bank. Gabriela, Rafer and various others are soon traveling the world looking for the missing art. Can they find it in time?
The King’s Ransom is an enjoyable book. The plot moves along quickly. The exotic locations are described well. The characters are well written. Overall, it’s a good escape from real life. 4 stars!
