Finally, another book in one of favorite cozy mystery series, The Haunted Bookshop Mysteries. In The Ghost and the Dead Librarian, a former librarian writes a genealogical tell all about the local families. Secrets are about to be spilled. No wonder she turns up dead at her book launch party. But why is she holding her own pre-written obituary addressed to the local newspaper in her hands?
Pen (short for Penelope) and Jack are an unusual detective duo. Pen owns a bookstore. Jack is the ghost of a dead hard-boiled detective from the 1940s. They make a surprisingly effective, and humorous, investigative duo. I adore the interaction between them.
Overall, I loved The Ghost and the Dead Librarian and I think you will too. 5 stars!
Thanks to NetGalley and Kensington Cozies for providing me with an advanced review copy.
