Safecracker features a gentleman thief named Michael, who witnesses a murder by a female thief and assassin. He is then forced into breaking into the safe of a Miami drug cartel boss. Things just get worse for Michael after that. How will Michael extricate himself from this situation without being killed or arrested?
It’s hard out here for a thief.
Readers that enjoy heist movies like Ocean’s Eleven and Red Notice or series like Lupin will adore Safecracker! It has more details about how a thief learns about his objective that shows how surprisingly long it takes to plan a job. It also will make you feel uncomfortable with the deadbolt on your door.
Overall, the book is a heart-pounding caper thriller until the epilogue that I didn’t understand at all. 4 stars!
Thanks to Thomas Dunne Books, St. Martin’s Press and NetGalley for a copy in exchange for my honest review.
