Spring has sprung in Harvest, Ohio. The small, mostly Amish, town is celebrating with the first annual Blueberry Bash in the town square complete with an elegant Blueberry Princess. But will dramatic twists of plot turn the Bash into a Blueberry Blunder?
Chocolatier Bailey is worried because her candy factory build is at a dead stop. Wade, her general contractor, demanded more money before he will continue the work. Bailey responds by firing him. A documentarian filmed Wade’s threat against Bailey that he will make sure no other local contractor will work with her. That night Wade is found dead in Bailey’s factory. An Amish relative is arrested, and Bailey is determined to find the real killer.
This series has the perfect mix of genuine characters and complex plotting. There is a lot going on within this entry in the series. Aiden, Bailey’s boyfriend, has given up his big city job and returned full time to Harvest. He is starting a private investigations firm, but will there be enough work to support him in such a small town? Aiden’s mother, Juliet, asks Bailey to babysit her pet polka dot pig, rambunctious Jethro, almost constantly leading to some truly laugh-out-loud moments.
