Sheriff Sunshine Vicram is still trying to break up a local moonshine gang while in love with its boss. It’s unfortunate that her fixation is causing her to overpour tequila for herself leading to A Hard Day for a Hangover.
A Hard Day for a Hangover is not a standalone novel. If you haven’t read the series, this book’s plot will just be a confusing mishmash. The author tries to get new readers up to speed by summarizing the previous book in the series, A Good Day for Chardonnay, in the first quarter of the book. Since I read the last book, and was frustrated by the cliffhanger ending, I just wanted to get to the new parts. So, basically, this book is frustrating for both readers familiar and unfamiliar with the series. Overall, a disappointment, though at least the loose plot threads were fully resolved in this book. 3 stars.
