The setting of The Library After Dark is the best part of this intriguing mashup of fantasy, mystery and serial killer thriller genres.
When a special after dark tour of a new library of curiosities is held, everyone has secrets. And when the doors lock and the lights go out, the killings begin. Who is the murderer among the seven guests and one guide? How will the unique book themed rooms be used to kill? And will anyone escape The Library After Dark?
I enjoyed reading this book. The creepy factor is definitely on full display. I read this at night and dreamed of (or had nightmares about) some of the more macabre rooms. However, there are a lot of character backstories to keep straight. Though they do come together well by the back half of the book.
The Library After Dark is definitely a creepy little story for those readers that like their mysteries with a bit of a fantasy feel. 5 stars!
