There are eleven adult Grimm Tales from the Cave. They are about sins and sinners. But all have a moral in there somewhere just like the original Grimm tales.
“When you reach hell, I shall serve you a meal. What will be the meat? What will be the spoon? And what will be the wine glass from which you drink?”
Three soldiers make a deal with the devil. A cheap landlord tries to cheat his tenants and his exterminator. A new Boss, literally from Hell, has a bad day. A stepdaughter has a great adventure. Plus, seven more tales of terror await you.
There are definitely shades of The Twilight Zone in these ironic horror tales. The art varies considerably in style making each new story a delight. Many are twisted fairy tales of old, though you don’t have to recognize them to enjoy them.
Overall, I think Grimm Tales from the Cave is a fantastic graphic novel. 5 stars and a favorite!
