Dead Men Don’t Play Fetch

Dead Men Don't Play Fetch

Dead Men Don’t Play Fetch is another fine entry in the Andy Carpenter cozy mystery series.

Andy really wants to retire from his defense attorney practice. But just when he thought he was out, they pull him back in. A homeless vet staying in a rehab facility is accused of murdering a billionaire with plenty of enemies. The evidence against him is extensive. Can Andy and his crackerjack investigative team prove the vet’s innocence? Who is the true murderer?

These books always enchant with a great group of regular characters that you want to spend time with. This series always features dogs so dog loving mystery fans won’t want to miss this entry either. The investigation and courtroom scenes seem accurate. However, my favorite part is Andy’s snarky comments to just about everyone. He says what the rest of us dream of saying.

Dead Men Don’t Play Fetch has something for everyone: an enjoyable cast, engaging mystery, compelling courtroom drama, and adorable dogs. What else is needed? 5 stars!
