In A Sociopath’s Guide to a Successful Marriage, Lalla has a lot on her plate. She is an ambitious wife and mother of two. She is trying to force her family up the social ladder with no help, or even a simple thanks, from her husband. Her daughter may not get into the prestigious primary school Lalla wants. Her husband and his dreadful mother want no part in helping raise money for a new house in a more prestigious neighborhood. Oh, and there is a dead body to dispose of in her living room recently stabbed multiple times by Lalla. No amount of to do lists can solve all of Lalla’s problems. But worrying about being a sociopath is the least of her issues. Now she just needs to get her youngest child’s birthday party off without a hitch.
A Sociopath’s Guide to a Successful Marriage is a hilarious book that had me laughing out loud multiple times. Lalla’s life just keeps getting wackier as she calmly goes about murdering anyone who stands in her way. This book is highly recommended for readers of humorous mysteries even though there are not many mysteries to uncover here. Lalla has always done it. 5 stars and a favorite!
