The Art of Spending Money

The Art of Spending Money

So what is The Art of Spending Money? It is being content with what you have. It’s using your money to buy once-in-a-lifetime experiences rather than just upgrading your everyday life. It is consciously deciding that whatever you want is worth trading your time that could be spent with family and friends (or doing something that you love more).

The best advice in this book is to try to not emulate other’s choices. Just because your best friend, or favorite influencer, has a boat (or whatever) doesn’t mean you should get one. What is important to you, not your neighbor, should drive your decision making.

The writing within The Art of Spending Money is clear. There are plenty of good examples illustrating the author’s principles. This book would make a great gift for a person moving out of their family’s home for the first time. However, problems with spending money are not limited to the young. All ages can learn something from this book. 4 stars!
