Something is Killing the Children Vol 1 is an excellent start to a new horror comic series.
One dark night, four boys are playing truth or dare. James tells a story about a monster in a ravine. The other boys don’t believe him and go to the ravine to prove he’s a liar. Only James comes home alive that night. And those three boys are only the beginning. Six more kids are soon found maimed and dead in the woods around town. More children are missing every day. James now admits that he made the monster up but did he unconsciously awaken something evil?
The atmosphere of dread is pitch-perfect for this modern horror tale. Erica, the monster hunter, is the heroine we simultaneously need and want to be. Something is Killing the Children Vol 1 is great and highly recommended for horror or mystery fans. 5 stars!
