Monsters of Ohio

Monsters of Ohio

I love all of John Scalzi’ books. His latest, Monsters of Ohio, is no exception. I loved it!

If you can’t change the money grubbing rich, you might as well laugh at them. This book makes fun of everyone that annoys you in real life. Non-empathetic titans of industry just out for a quick buck? Check. Annoying incel racists? Yes. Rich trust fund kids that think the world owes them something? Of course. Throw in some cryptids (aka tentacled monsters) and you have the characters living in rural Ohio. Oh and did I mention that this is a parody (at least I hope so)?

Monsters of Ohio is hilarious. I couldn’t stop giggling at the ways the truly obnoxious kept changing into B horror movie monsters while simultaneously becoming nicer (and sometimes hornier too).

This book is highly recommended for anyone who needs a good laugh right about now. 5 stars and a favorite!
