We Live

We Live

In 2084, humanity is nearing extinction. The Earth is dying. An alien ship offers salvation. 5000 bracelets are dropped to Earth. Each is to be used by Earth’s children. Each child may bring one companion. Once the children wearing the bracelets and their partners reach nine extraction points, they will be taken to another planet to restart humanity. The aliens will leave in five days. We Live! Don’t miss the takeoff.

What can you say about such beautiful fully saturated artwork? Bravo! I also adored the idea of including QR codes to the suggested music. After all, science fiction movies always have a soundtrack. The problem is the words. They are confusing.

“You who brings the warmth of the golden glows and then shut them off. Day. Night. Kill. Live. Kill. You who plays with the roaring of the wind and tides. Listen to my prayer. May the invisible kingdom of human time embrace you one day. May its endpoints possess you as they die… They end, irretrievably.”

I liked the twist at the end of We Live. I will read the next book in the series. But I can’t give this volume more than 3 stars.

Thanks to Diamond Book Distributors and NetGalley for a copy in exchange for my honest review.
