A Page Marked for Murder

In A Page Marked for Murder, Addie is the owner of the Beyond the Page bookshop. It is time for the town’s Fire and Ice Festival to celebrate taking down Christmas trees after the holidays. It has an ice carving festival and a Christmas tree bonfire on the beach.

However, Addie has other problems. Her friend Gloria has fallen off a ladder. Addie, who has never had a pet, is chosen to take care of Gloria’s miniature Yorkipoo, Pippi. Addie’s store assistant, Paige, is having baby daddy custody issues. The other store clerk, Addie’s cousin Kalea, is too busy running around to do her job. However, when Paige’s baby daddy is found murdered in the alley behind the book shop, Paige is the obvious suspect. Addie must drop everything, but Pippi, to find the real murderer.

A Page Marked for Murder is a cute cozy mystery. I love Pippi! The mystery itself is a challenge. Another challenge for readers new to this series, like me, is to untangle the complicated family relationships within the book. 3.5 stars!
